Cepu Block oil field to commence production in August

The Cepu block oil field in Bojonegoro, East Java, will commence its initial production of 20,000 barrels per day in August this year, spokesman of MCL oil operator of the field, Arti Soedarsono said.



"The initial production of the Cepu Block oil field will be carried out in August with a daily production capacity of 20,000 barrels per day," Soedarsono said here on Tuesday.

He said that the initial production of the oil field had been delayed for two months from the first quarter of 2009 to August 2009 due to technical reasons.

"The specifications of several equipment components have to be changed," he said.
