Missing UGM student at Mt Simeru found Ddad

umajang, E Java (ANTARA News) - A Search and Rescue (SAR) team on Sunday eventually found the dead body of a missing student of Gajah Mada University (UGM) at Mt Semeru (3,676 mdpl).

Head of the National Unity and Public Protection Agency of the Lumajang district administration, East Java province, Wisu Wasono Adi told Antara here on Sunday that he heard about the student`s death from members of the SAR team.

A student of the State Administration department, Faculty of Social and Political Affairs, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta, Andika Putra Listiono was declared missing after he joined the Mount Semeru climbing team on Tuesday (July 28).

"I do not know the details of the search, but it is true that his dead body was found," said Wisu.

He said he had several times tried to contact the SAR team in Ranu Pane, but he alwasys failed to do so.

"Andika went missing at Semeru since Tuesday (July 28) and his dead body found on Sunday (August 2)," he said, adding that the joint SAR team, has been searching for the missing student for six days.

"The Blank 75 ravine where the dead student was found on its floor is a very dangerous area, and was not supposed to be climbed," he added
